Moeck soprano rauschpfeife in c. Rauschpfeife are instruments with a very powerful sound, similar to a shawm, which will project well in an outdoor environment. They are windcap instruments with a wide conical bore that allows them to be overblown at the octave to give them a range of an octave and a fifth. The Moeck historical instrument studio produce an excellent soprano Rauschpfeife in their workshop in Celle. It is made from oiled maple wood and has a range of an octave and a fifth.
