The Rippert Soprano, designed by the collaborative efforts of Friedrich and Patrick von Huene in the style of Rippert’s instruments, offers the sound and playing characteristics of a true Baroque soprano at modern pitch. Its exceptionally sweet, clear tone and superb response make it a favorite of professional and amateur players alike. Made in select European boxwood (other woods occasionally available as well), the Rippert soprano rises to the challenge of demanding solo, chamber, and ensemble repertoire of the Baroque period as well as of the 20th century.

In the second half of the seventeenth century, we believe that the young journeyman, Rippert, left his homeland for the excitement of Paris, where he established himself as a maker of the finest recorders, flutes and oboes. In 1715 he was aging but still working hard, and it seems that his instruments were more in demand than those of the famous Hotteterre.
This recorder is also available in rosewood.

With Cavallaro roll bag, oil and playing instructions.
