Lu Mi Treble viol after Henry Jaye 1620 (string length 366mm). This treble viol after Henry Jaye is made from very high quality wood and combines excellent craftmanship with a full, sweet, rounded sound and a beautiful appearance. The ribs, back and neck are made of sycamore, the top of spruce, and the fingerboard and tailpiece of sycamore with ebony veneer or birds-eye maple. The wood is fully kiln-dried for stability.
The Lu Mi range of instruments is the result of years of development and refinement overseen by Markku Luolajan-Mikkola, the leading Finnish gamba player. They are instruments designed by a player of distinction with other professional performers in mind, and are faithful to the authentic light construction techniques of early strings. The viol is supplied with an attractive hard case complete with carrying straps (back-pack style).
