EMS English harpsichord. The English harpsichord, designed by Peter Barnes with the Early Music Shop, is a brass-strung 2x8’ harpsichord with case and matching stand in walnut and is based on scaling developed from a Keene and Brackley spinet c. 1715. It has a GG-f3 compass which transposes a=440/415 and has additional wooden jacks, guides and keyboard. The lid is detachable with solid brasswork and a folding music desk. The solid walnut stand detaches from the harpsichord and can be easily taken apart. The harpsichord is 6'3" long, 35" wide and 8" deep. It sits on a stand that is 25" in height.
