Tomes alto sackbutt in Eb with flat stays, a=440. The bell is hand-made using traditional methods of construction, not spun as on modern instruments. The slide section has hinged flat stays as found on the original instrument which acoustically isolates the parallel lengths of tube as much as possible. A tuning slide adjustment is fitted where the slides join the bell section and the inner slides have stockings which are chrome plated to give a very smooth action. Fitted with water key. Internal diameter of slides - 11mm. Bell diameter - 106mm.
