Tomes tenor sackbutt in Bb with round stays. Very popular tenor sackbutt based on an original by Neuschel 1557. The bell is hand-made using traditional methods of construction, not spun as on modern instruments. The round stays offer a slightly less expensive alternative to the flat stays of the original. A tuning slide adjustment is fitted where the slides join the bell section and the inner slides have stockings which are chrome plated to give a very smooth action. Fitted with water key. Internal diameter of slides - 12.3mm. Bell diameter - 103mm.
