Welcome to The Early Music Shop - London
(Formerly the London Recorder Centre - LRC)
The London Early Music Shop is a short walk from Tottenham Court Road and Leicester Square underground stations and offers a chance to see a wide range of stock in a convenient central location. The shop is located on Denmark Street, the musical hub of London more famously known as Tin Pan Alley. For detailed information on getting here, please see below.
All our staff are early music specialists and provide expert knowledge on early instruments and repertoire. Please do not hesitate to contact us by phone, email, or in person with any queries or requests you have.
N.B. We keep a large stock of instruments, sheet music and facsimiles in-store, however we recommend contacting us ahead of your visit for larger items or if you are travelling here to view something specific. We will endeavour to make sure any requested instruments are in-store for your visit (excluding keyboards/pedal harps due to size).
For latest information, regular competitions and offers, become a fan on our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter:
We hope you enjoy browsing the website and welcome your call, email or personal visit sometime in the future!
