The Early Music Shop is delighted to present a concert at Salts Mill by Leeds Baroque
on Sunday June 20th at 4.00pm. Leeds Baroque is a period instrument performance group based in West Yorkshire. It is directed by Peter Holman (Professor of Historical Musicology in the University of Leeds), who is renowned as Director of the Parley of Instruments and Opera Restor’d.
Members are drawn from professional and non-professional players with students from the region’s music colleges. Free workshops given by leaders in the field of baroque performance practice provide training, and the funds available are used to enable members of the orchestra to perform concerts with internationally renowned soloists.
Over the last two seasons Leeds Baroque performed at the University of Leeds, the National Centre for Early Music, York, the Georgian Theatre, Richmond, the Swaledale Festival and the Hexham Festival.

Salts Mill and The Early Music Shop is at Salts Mill in
the pretty village of Saltaire, a World Heritage Site just four miles
north of Bradford city centre.

We're easily accessible by rail, bus, car, 15 minutes from the motorway and Leeds/Bradford airport.
By Train Saltaire train station is next to Salts Mill. The
train station is just 2 stops (15 minutes) from either Leeds or
Bradford, on the ‘Skipton’ line. London to Leeds by train is a two and
a half hour journey.
By Bus There are frequent bus services from Bradford and Leeds.
By Air The nearest airport is Leeds/Bradford airport - 5 miles away.
By Car Follow the brown tourist road signs from junction
26off the M62 and you will be directed all the way to the large free
carpark on Salts Mill Road adjoining Salts Mill. The Early Music Shop
is located at ground floor level on the footpath from the car park to
the main Salts mill entrance and is easily found positioned by the
large chimney.
Do not take the directions to Victoria Road, but to Salts Mill Road where the free car park is located.
