Guido Bizzi has established himself as arguably the most prolific builder of early keyboard instruments in Europe and beyond. This has been achieved in a remarkably short space of time, and his work is in increasing demand world wide. As well as his own workshop and showroom in Italy, he has recently set up outlets as far afield as Tokyo. His instruments are enjoyed by professionals and amateurs alike and can be spotted in increasing numbers on stages around Europe, often played by some of the greatest soloists of our time such as Gustav Leonhardt, Kenneth Gilbert, Pierre Hantai, Andreas Staier, Ton Koopman and Trevor Pinnock.
From his small workshop in Milan, along with a team of highly skilled craftsmen, he produces a whole range of keyboard instruments built along authentic lines. One of the distinguishing features of Bizzi's work is the decoration, which is of the highest quality, and in a true Italian tradition. His artists are also able to personalise the decoration according to the customer’s own tastes, with the possibility of any landscape or other sort of painting on the lid.
The Early Music Shop is proud to be appointed the main dealer for Bizzi harpsichords in the UK and the showroom at Salts Mill now houses a number of Bizzi instruments.
